Who we are
Threat Strata is operated by Synlace, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16274543, registered address 40 Hemlock Way, Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, England, SO53 4LT). Contact: aidan@synlace.ai.
The service
Threat Strata is a browser-based viewer and storage service for threat models. Models are encrypted in your browser before upload; we store ciphertext and cannot read your models.
Your account
You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live. You are responsible for keeping your password. There is no password reset, because we do not hold your email address and cannot recover your encryption key. If you lose your password, your workspace and its contents are unrecoverable.
Your content
You keep all rights to the models you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to store and serve the ciphertext you send, and to return it to anyone holding the link you created.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to store or distribute unlawful material, to attack or probe the service, or to store data unrelated to threat modelling. Models are limited to 1 MiB and workspaces to 2 MiB.
Availability and changes
The service is provided free of charge and on a best-effort basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it. If we make a material change to these terms, we will say so on this page.
Liability
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, and the sections above do not apply to the extent they would be unfair to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data you did not keep a copy of, or loss caused by a link you shared. Our total liability in connection with the service is limited to £100.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time; that deletes your workspace and models. We may suspend an account that breaches the acceptable-use section.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
